1. Requirements
- Clean Linux VPS (Ubuntu 22.04 is a common choice)
- Root SSH access
- At least 1–2 GB RAM (more for mail + many sites)
- No existing control panel or conflicting web stack
- Domain ready to point later
2. Connect as root
- SSH into the server
- Switch to root if needed: sudo -i
- Update packages first: apt update && apt -y upgrade
3. Run the CyberPanel installer
- Use the official install script from CyberPanel docs/download page
- Typical style: sh <(curl https://cyberpanel.net/install.sh) || bash <(curl https://cyberpanel.net/install.sh)
- Choose OpenLiteSpeed / full install options when prompted
- Set admin password carefully and save it
- Wait until installation completes
4. Log into the panel
- Open https://SERVER_IP:8090 in your browser
- Accept the security warning until you attach a domain/SSL for the panel
- Login with admin and your password
- Complete initial setup wizards if shown
5. Create your first website
- Create a website for yourdomain.com
- Point DNS A record to the server IP
- Issue Let's Encrypt SSL from CyberPanel
- Upload site files or install an app
6. Optional mail features
- Create mailboxes in CyberPanel if you enabled mail services
- Set MX and SPF/DKIM/DMARC for the domain
- Test webmail and SMTP auth before production use
7. Security checklist
- Change default passwords immediately
- Keep CyberPanel and packages updated
- Restrict panel access by firewall when possible
- Take backups before major upgrades
